Barry E. Glasgow is a Colorado native who grew up in Northglenn and has lived in the Brighton area since 1979. Barry is a graduate of the University of Denver College of Business Administration where he received his Bachelor of Science degree with a major in finance in 1982. Barry then attended the University of Denver College of Law where he received his Juris Doctor degree in 1985. While attending law school, Barry served as a law clerk for the Honorable Oyer G. Leary of the Adams County District Court.
Upon graduating from the University of Denver College of Law, Barry was licensed to practice law by the Supreme Court of Colorado in 1985. Since that time, Barry has focused his practice on representing clients in domestic relations matters such as divorces, custody trials, visitation issues, child support issues, paternity actions, wills, probate matters and Guardianships. Over the last 18 years, Barry has represented in excess of 750 clients in divorce actions varying from simple uncontested matters to matters involving contested custody issues and the division of martial estates in excess of several million dollars.
Barry is a member in good standing of the Family Law Section of the Colorado Bar Association. In addition to his law practices, Barry also serves as the Chief Judge for the Brighton Municipal Court where he presides over cases involving violations of the Model Traffic Code and the Brighton Municipal Code.
Barry has continued his legal education by obtaining at least 15 hours of continuing legal education credit per year for the last 24 years. Barry is additionally a graduate of the mediation-training course offered by CDR Associates, a nationally recognized conflict management training organization.
